Veterans 2006

Honoring and caring for our veterans is a sacred duty, and we must always remember what each and every veteran has sacrificed for our country. We owe our freedom to America's veterans and must honor our commitment to those who have so bravely served our nation, those who are continuing to do so and those who will serve in the future.

Tax Relief 2006

Since coming to Congress, it has been my privilege to represent the citizens of the 10th District of Texas. I have heard many of your personal stories about how difficult it can be to make ends meet, and to those who have shared their concerns, the anxiety is real and the need to provide relief is immediate.
Our nation is at a fiscal crossroads and tough decisions must be made. I am committed to fiscal restraint, cutting taxes and halting the creation of additional government programs. Just like American families, the federal government must live within its means.

2005 Year End Report

As Congress works to finish this legislative session, I would like to provide you with

economy and national security.
The accomplishments reflect the priorities of America and the 10th District of
Texas - priorities that have strengthened our economy, protected our families and
defended our freedom. These achievements will benefit you and other Texans today and
in the future as you pursue your goals enjoying the freedom and countless opportunities
you have as Americans.

Veterans Mailing
- Veterans Mailer -
"Honoring and caring for our veterans is a sacred
duty. When we remember their accomplishments
for America and the world, we must always
remember what each and every veteran sacrificed.
Even though a service member comes home and
has changed, either in mind or body, the federal
government should not only provide benefits, but
should also be there to help make them whole
again. It is our duty, as much as possible, to give
our veterans every opportunity to have peaceful
and happy lives.
Congress has worked to provide unprecedented
increases in veterans' health care funding: since
2001, VA's health care budget has risen over
40 percent.
Those who served in the past, those who serve
today and those who will serve in the future must
be assured that health care benefits will be there if
they are injured or in need.
Meeting the needs of our nation's veterans will
continue to be a major focus and priority of mine
in Congress."

Immigration Survey
- Immigration Survey Mailing - In a post 9/11 world, protecting our
borders has taken on a whole new
urgency. We cannot separate the issue of
border security and homeland security. In
order to successfully fight the War on
Terror, we must protect our borders and
points of entry.
There are people entering our country who
are seeking economic opportunities and
those who wish do us harm. Accordingly,
criminal terrorists must be barred from
entering the country, while those seeking
economic opportunities should be met with

Medicare Mailing
- Medicare Mailing -
"Seniors deserve access to prescription drugs and
health care. I will continue to work hard for
seniors on this and many other issues. It is very
important that you understand and take advantage
of this new program. We are here to help."

Seniors with limited income or resources can still receive
partial transitional assistance with a Medicare-approved
drug discount card but, you need to act fast to receive the
benefit. The chart on the back shows how much you will
get depending on when in 2005 you join.
