The March for Women’s Lives
For Immediate Release - April 25, 2004

Washington D.C. - Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA) participates in the March for Women’s Lives in Washington, DC, on Sunday, April 25. Estimates of the number of people marching range from 500,000 to 800,000, including as many as 2,000 people from the state of Washington. Before the march, McDermott met and spoke with the Washington State delegation. McDermott voiced his strong and continued support for women’s rights.

Following the rally, McDermott joined members representing the Washington State Chapter of Planned Parenthood on the Capitol Mall.
