Rep. McDermott Attends Seattle Block Grant Award Event

Rep McDermott

Rep. Jim McDermott recently spoke to local Seattle organizations about the essential services they provide to the community and then joined Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels in distributing federal Community Development Block Grant awards to five nonprofit agencies that will enable them to construct or rehabilitate the buildings from which they provide essential services in the community. 

The federal grant funds were given to:  Eritrean Association in Greater Seattle; Goodwill Development Association; Neighborhood House; Pike Market Child Care & Preschool; and Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority.
