National University Transportation Center (UTC) for the State of Washington
To designate UW as a “National University Transportation Center” UW is currently Regional Transportation Center, which is designated on a competitive basis, National centers are established in statute.

 

Mercer Street Corridor Project
Project Request: This funding request will fund construction of multi-modal improvements along Mercer Street between Interstate 5 and Dexter Avenue. This will include reconstructing Mercer Street and several other major arterials, providing wider sidewalks, pedestrian safety features and a median. Funding Request: $50,000,000

 

King County Ferry District Passenger Only Ferry System Implementation
Project Description:  This request funds the acquisition of nine vessels to support KCFD’s passenger ferry service program. Funding Request: $10 million   

   

Aurora Avenue North RapidRide: Bus Rapid Transit Project
Project Description: Implementation, bus acquisition and facilities construction of King County Metro’s Aurora Avenue North RapidRide Bus Rapid Transit Project. Project includes constructing improved passenger amenities, intelligent transportation system features. Funding Request: $10 million

 

Ballard/West Seattle RapidRide Bus
Project Description: Implementation, bus acquisition and facilities construction of King County Metro’s Ballard/West Seattle RapidRide Bus Rapid Transit Project. Project includes constructing improved passenger amenities, intelligent transportation system features. Funding Request: $10 million

 

1st Avenue Street Car – Small Starts authorization
Authorize the development and construction Seattle Streetcar Central Line under the Federal Transit Administration's Small Starts program.

 

NE 45th Street Timber Bridge
Project Request: This project improves public safety by replacing a 75 year old structurally deficient timber bridge. Funding Request: $15,000,000

 

King Street Station Bridge
Project Request: This project replaces a structurally deficient bridge that is 80+ years old. Funding request:   $15,000,000

 

South Park Bridge Replacement
Project Request: The South Park Bridge is a 78-year old structure that has outlived its useful life and will require closure in 2010.  Funding Request: $20 million

 

Washington State Ferries Terminals ADA Improvements / Southern Puget Sound Region
ADA Projects:  The Washington State Ferries terminals require upgrades of pedestrian areas to create accessible pathways compliant with American Disability Act standards.  Funding Request: $190,400

 

 I-5 Congestion Relief and Safety Improvements, 145th to SR 520
Project Request: This project would design, construct and implement Active Traffic Management and safety projection I-5 Southbound from the Seattle city limits at N. 145th Street to the interchange at SR 520.  Funding Request: $52,300,000

 

City of Burien SR 518-Des Moines Memorial Drive Interchange High Priority Project
Project Request: This project will build the missing western half of the SR 518/Des Moines Memorial Drive Interchange.  Project Request: $3,600,000

 

East Marginal Way Phase II: Argo Truck Roadway
Project Request: Completes an intermodal connector for international trade flows by improving a key drayage route between container terminals and an intermodal rail yard. Funding Request: $7,000,000

 

Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge and Street Improvements at the Urban Center
Project Request: The Tukwila Urban Center pedestrian/bike and street and bridge improvements will connect the Sound Transit regional commuter rail and the Amtrak station to Tukwila's urban center.  Funding Request: $6,000,000
