Passports
Before traveling, always check the State Department website for travel warnings for your final destination as well as the countries you will be visiting.
To obtain a Passport, you must obtain it through the U.S. Department of State. You can usually apply for a new passport or renew your old one through a U.S. Postal Office. However, they tend to take a few weeks to process, so get started early.
Also, you may need a visa from the appropriate embassy or nearest consulate of the county that you are planning to visit. The U.S. Department of State has a listing of all countries where a visa will be needed.
