U.S. Capitol The U.S. Capitol Building is where Members of Congress meet to discuss and vote on proposed legislation. The Capitol is one of the most magnificent buildings in the city. I strongly recommend that you visit the Capitol. You may receive a personal tour of the Capitol through our office. We offer tours weekly at 10:30am and 1:00pm. The tour is approximately one hour. Please contact our Washington, DC office at 202-225-5601 to arrange a tour. Public tours of the Capitol are given on Saturdays starting at 9:00-4:00pm. The line starts at the white tent next to the east side of the Capitol. The Capitol is closed on Sunday. The White House The White House is the official residence of the President of the United States and one of the most popular sites in Washington, D.C. Request for a White House tour may be made through our office at least six months in advance due to limited tours offered. The White House encourages groups to take advantage of the White House Visitor Center located at the southeast corner of the 15th and E Streets in the Department of Commerce building. The Center is open seven days a week from 7:30am until 4:00pm. For more information, please call 202-208-1631. Bureau of Engraving and Printing The BEP is located on 14th and C Street, SW. AT the BEP, you will see government workers engrave and print America's paper money. The tour lasts about 45 minutes. A limited number of tickets are available through my office. We ask that you place your request at least 2 months in advance. If tickets are not available through my office, the BEP offers public tours. The BEP hands out tickets on a first come, first serve basis starting at 7:00am daily. The Bureau is closed on weekends, all Federal holidays and the week between Christmas and New Years.
