2008 Farm Bill

"As a conferee on the 2008 Farm Bill, I have worked with both my House and Senate colleagues to craft this legislation that, I believe, will benefit American agriculture and the American consumer. We cannot delay any further in passing a sound farm policy which producers in the 19th District and across America need to prepare for the coming crop seasons.

"We cannot afford to become dependent on foreign sources of food and fiber, as we currently are for energy.

"I will vote for this bill when it comes to the House floor and I am actively encouraging my colleagues to do so as well. If the President should decide to veto this legislation, I will vote to override his veto and will work with my colleagues in both chambers to urge them to do the same."

                    - Congressman Randy Neugebauer
