Environmental Issues
Congressman Donald M. Payne continues to have one of the highest pro-environmental records in Congress. He has consistently supported legislation that aims to protect our nation’s wildlife, natural resources and landscape. Congressman Payne staunchly opposes drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf and instead maintains the belief that the United States must increase its investment in renewable energy technology. Understanding the urgency that global warming poses to our Earth, Representative Payne has and will continue to champion statewide and national initiatives that protect all species, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and promote environmentally sound innovation.
