Pelosi Statement on Deaths of 16 American Soldiers in Iraq

Washington, D.C. -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the deaths of 16 American soldiers in Iraq on Sunday:

"The deaths of so many American soldiers in Iraq yesterday are a sad reminder that there is a long road ahead before that country is stable and secure. These deaths are also a tragic reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, who daily bear the risks of service in places of great danger. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of all those killed or wounded."
