The Right Kind of Healthcare Reform

There is no doubt about it, we need healthcare reform in the United States.  But we need the right kind of reform.  The House of Representatives on November 7 passed H.R. 3962 by the slim margin of 220-215. This plan will be massively expensive, requiring tax increases, adding to the deficit, and doing little to control rising costs.

I believe we need healthcare reform that brings down the cost of insurance by creating real competition and consumer choice. But we also need fiscally responsible reform that is not a burden on future generations. Please click here to read my memo detailing my reasons for voting against H.R. 3962 and explaining the reforms that I support.
