Our part of Pennsylvania is blessed with some of the most beautiful and
productive farmland in the world. We are also blessed with forests,
waterways, and historic places that deserve to be preserved and
protected. For years, I have worked to help preserve the land that has
given so much to our forefathers and contributes so much to our present
quality of life.
The federal tax code is conservation’s worst enemy, forcing farmers to sell land to satisfy the IRS. As co-chair of the bipartisan House Conservation Caucus, I am working hard with congressmen from both parties to help preserve our farms, forests, and waterways.
