Rep.
Pitts congratulates
Lancaster
General
Hospital
on receiving national recognition
Washington
—In an effort to highlight the outstanding health care services available
to residents of
Lancaster
County
,
Congressman Joe Pitts
(R, PA-16) today congratulated
Lancaster
General
Hospital
for its inclusion in
U.S.
News and World Report’s ranking
of top hospitals.
Lancaster
General
Hospital
made top fifty lists in the areas of Heart and Heart Surgery, Orthopedics,
Urology, Hormonal Disorders, as well as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT).
LGH’s best showing was on the cardiac list (34 out of 50).
I’d like to congratulate
LGH on being included yet again among the nation’s top hospitals.
The honor is well-deserved and proof of the outstanding service LGH
provides our community.
Lancaster
families should be proud of LGH and reassured that they can rely on LGH in
their time of need,” said Congressman Pitts.
The July 11, 2005 print
edition of U.S. News and World Report includes the lists of
America
’s top hospitals. They can
also be viewed on the Internet at: http://www.usnews.com/usnews/health/best-hospitals/tophosp.htm.
Congressman Pitts
continued, “In a time when we hear too much about the bad news facing our
health care system, it’s important to recognize outstanding care and
service when it’s provided. In
the coming weeks, Congress will address challenges facing
America
’s health care system. I look
forward to working on these issues to reduce health care costs and increase
the level of care provided to
America
’s families.”
