Medicare Prescription Drug Open Enrollment Period
The open enrollment period for the new Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit began on November 15, 2006 and will end on December 30, 2006. During the open enrollment period, seniors can switch to another prescription drug plan without penalty. Current enrollees may want to review their existing drug plan, as well as any changes which have been made to it, to ensure it continues to meet their needs.

Visiting Washington, D.C.
If you are planning to visit Washington, D.C., during the month of December, there are a number of holiday events which may be of interest to you. These events include the lighting of the Capitol and National Christmas trees on December 6th and 7th, the lighting of the National Hanukkah Menorah on December 17th, and live music at the United States Botanic Garden on three Thursdays (the 14th, 21st, and 28th).
