House Acts to Roll Back Excessive Government Regulations that Stifle Job Creation
The full United States House of Representatives continued its effort to foster job creation with the passage of a series of bills designed to remove burdensome federal regulations that hinder economic growth. Information of the first of these bills - legislation that would overturn an overreaching National Labor Relations Board decision restricting the ability of employers to chose where to locate work within the United States – is posted to the web site.

Testimony in Favor of Platts Legislation to Preserve Lincoln Train Station
Rep. Platts testified before the National Parks Subcommittee in favor of legislation he introduced to expand the boundaries of Gettysburg National Military Park. The bill is intended to help ensure the preservation of the train station where President Abraham Lincoln arrived to deliver the Gettysburg Address, as well as another piece of land where cavalry skirmishes occurred. Rep. Platts’ testimony is posted on the web site.

Congressman Todd Platts will be available to take questions and listen to constituent concerns at a series of town hall meetings starting this month. Dates, times, and locations are as follows:

Thursday, October 27, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Red Lion Area Senior High School, 200 Horace Mann Avenue, Red Lion.

Friday, October 28, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Penn Township Municipal Building, 20 Wayne Avenue, Hanover.

Friday, October 28, 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Adams County Emergency Services and Training Center, 230 Greenamayer Lane, Gettysburg.

Saturday, October 29, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Hampden Township Recreation Building, 5001 Park Street, Mechanicsburg.

Tuesday, November 1, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Newberry Township Administration Office, 1915 Old Trail Road, Etters.
