Congressman Todd Platts advocates for House consideration of the Small Business Assistance and Relief Act (H.R. 5554) on July 27, 2010. He was joined by other cosponsors of the bill including (from left to right) Reps. Jim Gerlach (PA-6), Leonard Lance (NJ-7), and Charles Djou (HI-1). H.R. 5554 was introduced by Rep. Mike Castle (DE-At Large) in order to provide small businesses with tax and regulatory relief, as well as to reform federal small business programs so as to increase lending to small businesses. The cost of the bill would be offset by rescinding unspent stimulus funds.
