Congresswoman Pryce presents former Navy Ensign Carl Faehnle, Sr., with the
French Jubilee of Liberty Medal for his heroic actions during the D-Day Landings.
Mr. Faehnle, seated in the forefront, is pictured with
his four children, Jim, Carl Jr.,
Susan, and Mary Lou.
The medal was commissioned by the French government on the 50th anniversary
of Operation Overlord to thank American servicemembers who particpated in
the liberation of France.
