Pryce Statement on the 4th Anniversary of September 11th Attacks "September 11th, 2001 was a tragic day for all Americans, and a reminder of the threats that we face together as a nation. The lives lost on that day will never be forgotten, and the heroes who saved thousands of others will forever be remembered in our collective memories." "As we remember the events of September 11th, we would do well to recollect the spirit of togetherness and patriotism that followed in the wake of the attacks. When this nation was at our most vunerable, our people came together as Americans to heal and rebuild. This spirit is needed today, just as it was four years ago. The people of the Gulf Coast states need all of our help, and I am confident that like on September 11th, Katrina's devastation will produce more heroes than our history books can hold." "As each year passes, we increasingly face the danger of forgetting the lessons of September 11th. Let us all take this occasion to honor those who lost their lives, the families they left behind, and the heroes who saved countless Americans." |
