1000 Jobs Coming to Columbus Defense Facility

Central Ohio Delegation Preserves, Enhances Whitehall Facility from Base
Realignment and Closure Commission (BRAC)

Washington, DC: Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (R-Upper Arlington) issued the following statement following the announcement that the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) will gain more than 1000 jobs pursuant to BRAC recommendations:

“For more that a year, an incredible partnership among political, business and community leaders spoke in unison to defend and preserve the 2000 jobs at DSCC. Not only did our facility remain intact, but its workforce will increase by more than a third. This speaks volumes to incredible professionalism of the facility’s workers, as well as to the strength of our central Ohio congressional delegation’s coordinated message to the BRAC Commission.

“Of equal importance, these additional jobs strengthen DSCC, further solidify its strategic importance nationally, and protect it from future BRAC deliberations.”
