SERVICE ACADEMY NOMINATIONS
As a member of Congress Rep. Hall has the opportunity to nominate qualified young men and women who reside in the 4th Congressional District for appointment to our nation's service academies. All candidates seeking nominations must be U.S. citizens, at least 17 years of age and not more than 22 years of age on July 1st of the year of admission. Letters requesting nomination will be accepted from March 1st through October 1st of the year prior to admission. Files must be completed and all information submitted to the above office no later than November 1st of the year prior to admission.
Rep. Hall is assisted in making nominations by a selection board, made up of retired military officers. Selection is based not only on academic records, class standing, athletic ability, SAT and/or ACT scores, medical and physical aptitude tests, but also on leadership potential. Any person who meets the requirements has a chance to be nominated. For more information, please reference the academy home pages listed below.
