RAMSTAD ASKS CONSTITUENTS TO CALL,
FAX OR E-MAIL HIS OFFICE DURING CURRENT MAIL DELAY

WASHINGTON – Because of the mail distribution problems in Washington caused by the bioterrorist attacks, U.S. Rep. Jim Ramstad (R-MN) today urged constituents to instead use electronic alternatives when contacting his office.

"I deeply appreciate the hundreds of letters I receive each week from the people of the Third Congressional District," said Ramstad. "The mail is a critically important way for my constituents to communicate their views on the pressing issues facing our country."

"Unfortunately, the mail has not been delivered to our Washington, D.C. office since the bioterrorism threat first surfaced," Ramstad said. "This is beyond our control. But I need to hear from you. Please continue to call, fax or e-mail me with your problems, concerns and questions."

Ramstad's telephone number in Washington is 202-225-2871. The number of his district office is           952-738-8200.

The fax number in Washington is 202-225-6351. The district office fax is 952-738-9362.

The e-mail address is mn03@mail.house.gov.
