WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Jim Ramstad (MN-3rd) issued the following comments about President Bush’s speech to the nation tonight:

“The President made a clear and compelling case for the need to disarm Saddam Hussein of his weapons of mass destruction,” said Ramstad.

“I support the President’s ultimatum and hope and pray Saddam accepts exile, although I realize it’s highly unlikely,” said Ramstad.

“My thoughts and prayers are with our brave troops as they are about to disarm this brutal and dangerous dictator,” said Ramstad.
