U.S. Rep. Jim Ramstad (MN-3) today issued the following statement regarding the loss of the Space Shuttle Columbia and its crew:

"This a tragedy of immense proportions. The Shuttle Columbia astronauts made the ultimate sacrifice while working on behalf of all humanity conducting scientific research for the betterment of humankind," said Ramstad.

"The prayers of every Minnesotan and every American are with the Shuttle Columbia astronauts and their families," said Ramstad.
