RAMSTAD BACKS 9/11 COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS
WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Jim Ramstad (MN-3rd) said, “The 9/11 Commission Report released today provides critical recommendations for better protecting our homeland against terrorism.”
“The 9/11 Commission Report underscores the need for an all-out, comprehensive and bipartisan effort to defeat terrorism and improve homeland security,” said Ramstad.
“I strongly agree that a National Intelligence Director should be established to oversee and coordinate the 15 federal intelligence agencies,” said Ramstad.
“I strongly support the call to greatly expand our human intelligence capability to penetrate al Qaeda and gather critical intelligence to prevent terrorist attacks on our homeland,” said Ramstad.
“We also need to strengthen the security of our borders and ports and strictly control immigration,” said Ramstad.
“Our nation owes a debt of gratitude to the 9/11 Commission members for their valuable service and important recommendations to improve homeland security,” said Ramstad.
