Issues: Energy

A reliable and affordable energy supply is essential to protecting our vital national interests and sustaining a thriving national economy. Currently, America is not producing enough energy to provide for our growing economy. By the year 2020, our energy demand is projected to increase another thirty percent.

In addition, our high reliance on fossil fuels from foreign nations, some of which are hostile to the interests of the United States, places our national security at risk. I support the President’s Energy Plan to increase domestic production, while also providing funding to explore new sources of renewable energies, such as Hydrogen Fuel Cell technologies and Solar power.
