Lyndhurst Veteran Visits Rothman in Washington
(Washington, DC)On Tuesday, March 6, 2007, Lyndhurst veteran Mike Carroll met with Congressman Steve Rothman (D-NJ) to discuss funding for veterans' health care, the deplorable conditions at Walter Reed Medical Center, and upgrading the facilities at the Paramus Veterans Home. Also in the meeting were American Legion representatives Frank Calandrillo, Jr. of Mahwah, New Jersey and Bill Jennings of Great Meadows, New Jersey. Rothman, a long-time advocate of our veterans, is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, which makes recommendations about all federal spending.
