WASHINGTON – First District Congressman Paul Ryan today announced the schedule for his August 2001 Listening Tour in which he will visit 35 communities in Southeastern and South-central Wisconsin.  Ryan will be traveling throughout the First District in August to listen to the views and insights of area constituents, and to discuss timely issues including the new tax law, Medicare reform, and energy policy.

"I encourage everyone who lives and works in the First District to try and make it to one of our listening sessions this August," Ryan said. "The more people I hear from, the better I can do my job and represent the interests and concerns of First District residents. These listening sessions will give me the chance to meet with as many people as possible and get input on the issues that are important to them. I would also like to share information on what Congress has been doing so far this year and what lies ahead."
