WASHINGTON - First District Congressman Paul Ryan welcomed the Reverend Ron Auch of Prayer House Assembly of God Church in Kenosha to the U.S. House of Representatives, where Rev. Auch this morning delivered the opening prayer.
"It
was wonderful to have Rev. Auch lead us in the opening prayer," said Ryan.
"His prayer for the Lord's blessing and guidance provided the ideal beginning
for Congress today, and I know the other Representatives appreciated his
thoughtful words."
An excerpt of Rev. Auch's opening prayer follows:
"Father in Heaven, I thank you for this day that you have given us.
We hold Your name in reverence. As we look at our world with its various
needs, we realize how wonderful it would be for Your kingdom to come into
the hearts of all men. We pray for Your will to be accomplished. We are
a needy people. …"
