WASHINGTON -- First District Congressman Paul Ryan today announced the schedule for his January 2002 Listening Tour. Ryan will be visiting 14 communities throughout Wisconsin's First Congressional District to listen to the views and insights of constituents and to discuss important issues that affect all who live and work in Southern Wisconsin.
Among other issues, Ryan will talk about the economy and what steps are needed to create jobs in Southern Wisconsin and get people back to work. He will also discuss how to improve Medicare for Wisconsin seniors. In addition, Ryan will assess our nation's progress in the war on terrorism as well as homeland security.
"I encourage all First District residents to attend one of the upcoming
listening sessions," Ryan said. "It's important to me to hear from as many
constituents as possible on crucial issues that affect all of us, including
the economy, health care, and national security. These listening
sessions give us a great opportunity to share ideas and talk about concerns,
and they help me represent the people of the First District in Congress."
