Ryan Announces October Listening Sessions

WASHINGTON -- First District Congressman Paul Ryan today announced the schedule for the October 2003 Listening Sessions.  Ryan will be visiting 21 communities in Wisconsin's First Congressional District to listen to constituents and to discuss important issues that affect Southern Wisconsin.

“I want to hear from constituents around the district about what’s on their minds,” Ryan said.  “These listening sessions are a great chance for us to talk face to face about the issues that concern them and for me to answer their questions about what Congress has been working on.  I hope to see a lot of people at these meetings.”

Issues to be discussed include what Congress is doing to help create jobs, bring down the cost of health care, and save Wisconsin’s manufacturing base.  Ryan will also talk about the latest developments in Iraq and ongoing efforts to add a prescription drug benefit to Medicare.
