Ryan to Hold Medicare Town Hall Meetings on December 18

First District Congressman Paul Ryan has announced that he will be holding town hall meetings to share information about the new Medicare prescription drug legislation that Congress recently passed and the President signed into law today.  At these meetings, Ryan will discuss the new benefits and choices that this law will bring to Wisconsin’s seniors and to people of all ages who will be able to set aside tax-free savings for health expenses through Health Savings Accounts.  U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson has been invited to the meeting at UW-Parkside in Kenosha.

“I know a lot of people want answers about what the new Medicare law will mean for them,” Ryan said.  “I encourage everyone who has questions or simply wants to find out more about the new law to attend one of these upcoming town hall meetings.  This is the most sweeping upgrade to Medicare since the program was created, and it’s important to get the details.”
