African
American Community Forum
to
be Held September 19 in Racine
Wisconsin’s First District Congressman Paul Ryan and Racine County Supervisor Ken Lumpkin today announced they will host an African American community issues forum and listening session in Racine at Flatiron Mall on Monday, September 19 from 11am to 1pm. Eric Ness, District Director for the U.S. Small Business Administration Wisconsin District, will be among the guests at this meeting.
The forum will provide a venue for discussing issues before Congress, such as strengthening Social Security, as well as other issues that affect the area’s African American community, including minority business development, faith-based initiatives, and other matters of local concern.
“This forum offers a great opportunity for sharing information and ideas on issues that directly impact the African American community in our area. I want to urge all who are interested to come join us and share your thoughts and concerns,” Ryan said. “We’ll talk about a range of issues – from Social Security reform to more local matters that affect African American-owned businesses and the whole community.”
