6/24/09 - Congressman Paul Ryan takes issue with government-run insurance. Ryan argues: “With the public plan, it is literally impossible for the private sector to fairly compete against it. The private sector has to pay taxes. The private sector has to account for its employees and benefits. The private sector pays whatever rates it negotiates with providers. The public plan dictates payments lower than what the private sector can get, doesn't pay taxes, and literally doesn't have to account for its payroll and benefit costs. It is a stacked deck.”

Kenosha County Flood Information - June 2009
Kenosha County residents that have been affected by the June 19th storms are encouraged to call the Kenosha County Division of Emergency Management's Hotline at 262-605-7926 or 262-605-7928, to report the damage to their homes. Residents can also send an email to report damage to: EMDisaster@co.kenosha.wi.us. When calling or e-mailing to report damage, residents should include the following information: name, address, phone number, municipality, insurance status, and a brief explanation of how much water is on your first floor or basement.

Digital Television Conversion
As of June 12, 2009 television stations no longer are broadcasting in analog signals. The Digital Television Conversion is now completed, and all stations are broadcasting digital signals. All households that do not have a Digital TV, a converter box, or are subscribed to cable, are urged to apply for converter box coupons today.
