Issue: Water

Water is the lifeblood of Rural Colorado. It feeds our farms, our families and our communities.  John Salazar always works to ensure that our state and federal water policy protects vulnerable areas from policies that are problematic for agriculture and tourism-based economies. This means mitigation for trans-basin diversions and guaranteeing that our water quality is upheld.  If our family farms don’t have water, then they shut down.  John knows that when we keep water on our land, we keep farming viable.

Over John’s first term in Congress, he brought together a group of water users from across the Third Congressional District to keep appraised of water-related issues.
