Transcript: Renewable Energy Sources Will Lower Gas Prices“One of the things I’ve always been pushing is renewables, and I think that they are a key to lowering the price of gas at the pump immediately. Certainly, yes, I think building our refinery capacity over the next few years is vital as well. As you know, China now is using a major part of the oil resources in this world, and we need to figure out a way to be less dependent on foreign oil. Having said that, I think what we need to be addressing now is the real issue of the price of gas at the pump. We can do that by actually allowing for more tax breaks for renewable energies. The President has said that oil and gas companies do not need more subsidies. What we need to do is address the needs of rural America, and if we start the production of ethanol and bio-diesel, I think it has a more immediate impact on the price of gas at the pump.” |
