Intern Information 

Thank you for expressing an interest in interning in my Congressional office. I value the opportunity to work with interns and to share the Congressional experience with you, whether in Washington, D.C. or in my Chicago, Evanston, or Park Ridge offices. I welcome interns of all ages.

 Unfortunately, we do not have the space to accept every person who wants to intern with us nor do we have the financial resources to provide you with a stipend. If you are interested in interning with my office, please: 

• Send me a letter letting me know when you are available (including whether you are available five days a week or only on specific days) 
• Tell me what you hope to learn from your internship experience 
• Let me know whether you have any requirements such as preparing a paper for class credit 
• Let me know if you are a resident of my district 
• Let me know if you want to intern in Washington or in one of my district offices 
• Send me a sample of your writing
