SNYDER RECEIVES LULAC AMIGO AWARD

LITTLE ROCK - United States Representative Vic Snyder (AR-02) received the Amigo Award on Saturday from the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) in recognition of his continued support for the Arkansas Latino community.

Following his luncheon address, Congressman Snyder was presented with an award, which reads as follows: "The League of United Latin American Citizens presents the 2002 Amigo Award to U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder for your support to the Hispanic citizens of Arkansas."

Congressman Snyder worked to get $200,000 appropriated last year for expanding bilingual programs in Yell County and to establish a technology center in the Dardanelle school district to enhance the English, academic, and parenting skills of Hispanics.
