SNYDER RECEIVES LULAC AMIGO AWARD LITTLE ROCK - United States Representative Vic Snyder
(AR-02) received the Amigo Award on Saturday from the League of United Latin
American Citizens (LULAC) in recognition of his continued support for the
Arkansas Latino community.
Following his luncheon address, Congressman Snyder was presented with an
award, which reads as follows: "The League of United Latin American Citizens
presents the 2002 Amigo Award to U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder for your support to the
Hispanic citizens of Arkansas."
Congressman Snyder worked to get $200,000 appropriated last year for
expanding bilingual programs in Yell County and to establish a technology
center in the Dardanelle school district to enhance the English, academic,
and parenting skills of Hispanics.
