Snyder Announces House Approval of LRAFB Projects WASHINGTON, D.C. - United States Representative Vic Snyder (AR-02) announced today that the House passed the Military Construction Appropriations Act for FY04 (H.R. 2559), which includes funding for projects benefiting the Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville. The House previously approved the funding in this year's Defense Authorization Act.
The House approved the appropriation of the Air Force budget, which includes $2.478 million for a C-130J operations training facility and $1.167 million for additions and alterations at hangar 280 at the LRAFB.
"Funding for this C-130J training facility and hangar improvements indicate the continuing commitment of the Air Force to make the Little Rock Air Force Base the premier C-130 training facility in the US," said Congressman Snyder.
The bill now goes to the Senate for approval.
