SNYDER ANNOUNCES FUNDS FOR LITTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT

WASHINGTON, D.C. - United States Representative Vic Snyder (AR-02) announced today that the United States Department of Education has awarded $991,767 to the Little Rock School District under the Smaller Learning Communities Program.

"The goals of this project are worthwhile and I am pleased to see Little Rock School district receive some much-needed assistance in achieving them," Congressman Snyder said.

The funds will be used at Hall and McClellan High Schools to implement comprehensive reforms including the creation of an organizational structure to reduce isolation and promote collaboration among faculty, students, parents, and the community; and a restructuring of curricula and instructional practices to help students be more engaged academically and better prepared to pursue post-secondary options.
