SNYDER ANNOUNCES FUNDS FOR CENTRAL ARKANSAS RURAL SCHOOLS

WASHINGTON, D.C.-United States Representative Vic Snyder (AR-02) announced today that the United States Department of Education has awarded $313,888 under the Small Rural Schools Achievement (SRSA) Program to rural schools in Central Arkansas.

  • Alread Public School in Clinton will receive $13,244.
  • Bradford School District in Bradford will receive $23,981.
  • Fourche Valley School in Briggsville will receive $19,416.
  • Guy-Perkins School District in Guy will receive $26,203.
  • McRae Public School District in McRae will receive $17,484.
  • Mount Vernon-Enola School District in Mount Vernon will receive $28,974.
  • Nemo Vista Schools in Center Ridge will receive $27,315.
  • Ola Public Schools in Ola will receive $21,544.
  • Paron Public Schools in Paron will receive $24,259.
  • Perry-Casa School District in Casa will receive $13,644.
  • Plainview-Rover School in Plainview will receive $22,235.
  • Scotland School District #4 in Scotland will receive $15,467.
  • Western Yell County Schools in Havana will receive $29,054.
  • Wonderview Schools in Hattieville will receive $31,068.

"I'm pleased to see these schools receive some much-needed assistance in providing quality education to children living in rural areas," Congressman Snyder said.

The SRSA program provides extra funding and flexibility in the use of certain federal funds to small, rural school districts.
