SNYDER ANNOUNCES FUNDS FOR CENTERS FOR YOUTH AND FAMILIES WASHINGTON, D.C. - United States Representative Vic Snyder
(AR-02) announced today that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded $96,859
to the Centers for Youth and Families in Little Rock under the Mentoring Grants
Program.
"I'm pleased to see the Centers for Youth and Families receive these funds to
reach out to children and teens in need of adult guidance," said Congressman Snyder.
The Mentoring Grants Program is designed to assist local educational agencies
and nonprofit, community-based organizations to initiate, expand, or improve
mentoring programs for children with the greatest need-particularly those living
in rural areas, high-crime areas, troubled home environments, or experiencing educational
failure.
