SNYDER ANNOUNCES COPS FUNDS TO FIGHT METH IN SEARCY, CONWAY, AND NLR

LITTLE ROCK, AR - United States Representative Vic Snyder (AR-02) announced today that the United States Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) has awarded $666,666 to the Conway, Searcy, and North Little Rock police departments under the methamphetamine grant program.

  • Conway Police Department was awarded $222,222.
  • Searcy Police Department was awarded $222,222.
  • North Little Rock Police Department was awarded $222,222.

The funds will be used to combat methamphetamine use by supporting a variety of enforcement, training, and methamphetamine laboratory clean-up activities.

"I am pleased to see the Conway, Searcy, and North Little Rock police departments receive this much-needed assistance," Congressman Snyder said. "Central Arkansas has been significantly impacted by the proliferation of meth labs, and these funds will help law enforcement in responding to the problem."
