announced today that the United States Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented
Policing Services (COPS) has awarded $666,666 to the Conway, Searcy, and North Little Rock
police departments under the methamphetamine grant program.
The funds will be used to combat methamphetamine use by supporting a variety of enforcement,
training, and methamphetamine laboratory clean-up activities.
"I am pleased to see the Conway, Searcy, and North Little Rock police departments receive
this much-needed assistance," Congressman Snyder said. "Central Arkansas has been
significantly impacted by the proliferation of meth labs, and these funds will help law
enforcement in responding to the problem."
