Peace and Human Rights
Promoting freedom, human rights and the rule
of law through international cooperation is crucial to
building a just, peaceful and prosperous world in the 21st
Century. I believe America must exercise fair and
responsible leadership to broker peace and stand up for
economic justice, worker rights, and religious freedom
throughout the globe.
I am working to promote vital global health initiatives, confront governments and regimes that violate human rights, and support efforts to reduce hunger in poor and developing nations.

"Lieutenant General Mattis has no doubt served his country with courage and distinction as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. It is, nonetheless, inexcusable that, as a high-ranking officer of the US military, he would make these callous and insensitive remarks that denigrate the value of human life."
