Rep. Susan Davis Honored for Work on Behalf of Military Families
Washington - Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-San Diego) was recognized by the National Military Family Association for her work on behalf of military families. As Chairwoman of the Military Personnel Subcommittee, Davis plays a key role in creating, maintaining, and improving benefits that directly impact the lives of military families.
“Thank you to the National Military Family Association for their recognition, but it’s I who am grateful for all they do on behalf of military families,” said Davis. “Military families face unique challenges and I am proud to work with the Association to make sure our nation’s military families have the benefits and support they deserve.”
Whether it is enhancing benefits on health care, housing, education, school lunches for military children, or career opportunities for military spouses, Davis has been a leading advocate for military families.
According to their website, the National Military Family Association was founded in 1969 and fights for “benefits and programs that strengthen and protect uniformed services families and reflect the Nation’s respect for their Service.”
