Rep.
Susan Davis Statement on the Attacks on Americans in Libya
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman
Susan Davis released the following statement on the
attacks on Americans in Libya.
"My heart goes out to the families of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Foreign Service officer Sean Smith and two other Americans killed in Libya. They have my thoughts and prayers.
"We honor the sacrifice they made in promoting a mission of peace, freedom and democracy. Around the world and everyday, Foreign Service officers serve the American people in that charge. We owe them a debt of gratitude for that service.
"The attacks on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Egypt and Libya are deplorable. The extremists who committed this violence must be brought to justice."
