Susan Davis Pushes for Renewed Bipartisanship in 113th
WASHINGTON – With the swearing in of the 113th Congress, Rep. Susan Davis hoped Congress can meet our nation’s pressing national challenges.
“The House works best when the House works together,” said Davis, who was sworn in to her seventh term to the House of Representatives. “The American people sent us here to work out our differences and find solutions to the problems facing the nation. A new Congress brings with it new faces, new challenges, and the potential for new cooperation. It’s a great honor for me to be serving the constituents of the 53rd District.”
Davis marked the day meeting new members and sharing in the excitement that comes with a new term.
As she has in past Congresses, Davis will focus on creating jobs and growing middle class prosperity, as well as defense – especially military personnel and families – election reform, education and protecting veterans’ benefits.
She will continue to serve on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Education and the Workforce Committee.
