Susan Davis Pushes to Make Child Tax Credit Permanent
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Susan Davis (CA-53) moved to help working families keep more of their hard-earned money signing on as a cosponsor to legislation to make the Child Tax Credit (CTC) permanent.
Set to expire in 2017, the CTC provides a much-needed boost to middle class families.
“The Child Tax Credit is one of many investments in our nation’s future,” said Davis. “It gives families a greater opportunity to raise children into responsible, productive adults who can compete in the global economy. When our middle class thrives, America thrives.”
The CTC allows taxpayers to reduce their federal income tax liability by up to $1,000 per child.
