Exciting News for High School Students!
I am excited to announce that I have been selected to sponsor a Congressional Page from the 53rd District for the upcoming 2010 Spring Semester!
The semester term will be January 24 – June 4, 2010.
Pages serve as support staff for Members of Congress. Page duties consist primarily of assisting Members on the floor of the House of Representatives and disseminating legislative material around the Capitol complex. Serving as a Page is an exciting, enriching experience and a great way to learn firsthand about the legislative process and how Congress works.
To qualify as a House Page, applicants must be high school juniors, at least sixteen years of age, and have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Pages who serve during the school year attend the House of Representatives Page School, where they continue their eleventh grade studies as well as learn about House of Representatives operations. Pages reside in the Page Residence Hall and are supervised around the clock by a full-time staff.

Applications and supporting documents should be mailed to: Congresswoman Susan A. Davis – 4305 University Avenue, Suite 515, San Diego, CA 92105. Deadline for all applications is Monday, November 9, 2009.
