“Incumbents are always going to have an advantage; let’s face that. But this issue of how the district lines are drawn doesn’t pass the straight-face test in any one of our districts at home. It’s gotten so absurd that people look at these districts and they think, ‘What kind of logic is this? It makes no sense.’ And it needs to change…. There are too many decisions around here and too many pieces of legislation that are predicated on power and the majority in control instead of what’s best for the people. And what’s the long view – not the short view, because this stuff swings back and forth – and the long view is ‘let’s change this, and change it now.’”
