TANNER ENCOURAGES SENIORS TO GET WASHINGTON – Congressman John Tanner, the Social Security Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services want Tennesseans to get a little “Extra Help” with their prescription medicines. The Extra Help program is a joint service among Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid to provide assistance with prescription drug costs for those currently on Medicare who have limited income and resources. If you think you or a loved one is eligible for Extra Help, call, toll free, 1-800-772-1213 or log onto Social Security Online. Tanner represents Tennessee’s 8th Congressional district in west and middle Tennessee.
