TANNER ON TENNESSEE STORMS

WASHINGTON -- Congressman John Tanner made the following statement today on the deadly storms that hit Tennessee Tuesday and Wednesday:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the wounded and those whose lives were lost. I have talked to Jackson Mayor Jerry Gist, Madison County Mayor Jimmy Harris and Governor Bredesen’s office and informed them that we will do whatever we can to assist Tennessee families and businesses as they work to recover from these terrible storms. We have also sent word to Union University President Dr. David Dockery that we are available in whatever capacity he and his students may need.”
